Dear All,

I had seen many feedbacks in many nepal-related blogs. Most of the people are telling that neither Royal palace (people from royal palace) nor political parties (its people not the party itself) nor maoists (its members not the party) are good for ruling the country. I am also with the same view. But, everyday a question arises on my mind : “So, who should be the one whom we all can trust ?”, “Who should be the one under the leadearship of whom the country could be benefitted ?”, ‘Do we have any idea on that ?” “What kind of system should Nepal adopt so that people could be benefitted ?”.

Why is there no option for us to choose except members of current political parties or maoists members or royal palace members ?

If we have option can anybody tell me specifically what kind of system we are looking for ? Who (Specific person or parties or anything you could think of) under whose leadership the country can benefit ?
If we don’t have answer to these key questions then we all are fighting in vain and for nothing.

I appreciate your participation.

Thank you,
A Dhakal

Let me tell you, for a leader to be good, the people have to be good. Our culture is heavily infected by greed, nepotism, hatred, violence, deceit, age old superstitions and beliefs, slave mentality. It is our education and attitude that we need to improve. There are those pieces of our culture which have no meaning in today’s context that we need to abandon. Then only will we be able to have good people who will then become good leaders.

A Dhakal,

If there is a fight between two people and it is clear that both of them are wrong, who would u support..the condition si that u have to take sides.

in the present conflict I take the side with the political parties. i still could not understand where is the confusion in chosing sides in many peoples' mind still.

political parties and leaders and among us and chosen by us(nepalese people), we can change them at will.

change is what makes democracy acceptable to all despite all its flaws. just my thoughts maybe.

And if u r thinking of specific party or person u are not talking about democracy but various forms of autocracy, we should look for system not any people or party. Thanks

oust the king
bring maoist to mainstream
form an interim government
set an election
get an elected government
decentralize the government ie no flocking in kathmandu
create a constitution and law so strong that even god will be punished for their misdeeds.
first priority should be clean water, good food and shelter
second priority should be education together with economy.
third priority should be health and recreation
fourth priority should be kicking ass of corrupt officials

"Our culture is heavily infected by greed, nepotism, hatred, violence, deceit, age old superstitions and beliefs, slave mentality."

- Sounds like an accurate enough description of ALL of humanity...if you are a "realist"

Dear Biswa ji

Thank you for your responses. Let's not there be a misunderstanding on choosing a specific party or person. I know democracy is the solution to almost all the things and democracy cannot be obtained with individualistic thinking and movement. I was just trying to say that we should have a clear vision of what we all are doing now. It's good to fight against the autcracy but at the same time fighting without a clear vision will lead us towards darkness. Let's analyze the situation: we all won and democracy is now restored in the country but the same members of the political parties are going to stand for election whom no nepalese would support. Again we may have nothing left in our hand. That's why I was trying to analyze step wise step objectives of the movement that is going on in nepal right now.

Dear Birbhadra Ji,

I loved reading your response. Your views totally reflect what most of the Nepalese want today. Let's say we made the king apart. Let's concentrate on your second question. How do you think maoist can me brought under mainstream. Afterall, all political parties were fighiting against them some year ago and maoists were fighting against the political parties. Could you please clarify it more ?

dhakal ji ,

time has changed. maoist have now realised that they cannot bring revolution through arms.
i think they genuinely want to come to mainstream politics but having said that it doesn't mean that they will give up all their aspirations for equalities and opportunities for the underprivileged rural nepalis.

Reform Nepal as Per Dr. Harka Gurung,s view( Devide Nepal in 25 district). Follow the views aforsaid by birbhadra. If somebody tries to become Nara Bdr. Bhandari of Sikkim, people can kick him. State must finance political parties to some extent so that nobody will become khum bahadur, gachchadar or Bam dev.
