Hey folks,

Did you guys file your cryptocurrency taxes for 2017 ? I used various exchanges for crypto
transactions and it's been a tax nightmare so far. Does anyone know what is the tax rate for
short term gain on crypto ? Provide some guidance if you have filed your crypto taxes.

Crypto gain is capital gains. Short term capital gains tax rate is regular income tax rate meaning same tax rate as your income from job aka w2. Long term capital gains tax rate depends on  income range from 0-20 effective 23%.

Look at the tax brackets. First 10,000 dollars is tax free.
